Coinciding with the Muslims’ celebration of the birth anniversary of the eighth Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Rida (peace be upon him), Al-Zahraa University  for Women celebrated the cultural day of the English Language Department.

The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and the Iraqi national anthem, then a speech by the President of the University, Prof. Zainab Al Mulla Al Sultani, praising the activities done by  the English  Department and its diverse and distinguished activities. Calling at the same time to continue to develop the study process and follow the latest methods and means to make it successful. Al-Sultani emphasized  the commitment to the Islamic educational curriculum.

  The head of the English language department, Dr.. Muayyad Omran Chiad, expressed his thanks to the university administration, teaching and technical cadres in the department.He welcomed in his speech  all the attendees : the university president , the scientific and administrative assistants , the teaching staff and the female students. A report delivered by one of the students about the department’s visit to the Center for the Blind in Kerbala .Then came the inauguration of the “Imprint of Hope” , charitable program sponsored by Al-Zahraa University for Women .On the sidelines of the celebration, a number of talented students displayed a collection of paintings which they drew with illustrative works that simulate some historical facts and places , such as the house of Lady Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her).
