The Presidency of Al-Zahraa University for Women received a scientific delegation from the Royan Institute for Scientific Affairs from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Dr Fathi Ruhullah, Deputy Director of the Institute, and with the participation of several professors and researchers. This visit falls within the framework of enhancing scientific and academic relations between both sides and following up on pathways of cooperation uniting both institutions.
The visit aimed to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between both parties and advance it to more effective stages by establishing practical mechanisms to implement its clauses, expanding fields of cooperation across scientific, academic, and research domains, enabling the exchange of expertise, experiences, and specialized knowledge, and supporting the establishment of joint scientific projects and programmes on the ground.
The meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest, foremost among them discussing the requirements for organizing an international conference on stem cell applications at Al-Zahraa University for Women. The conference aims to provide a scientific platform bringing together an elite group of academics, researchers, and specialists in stem cells and their applications, contributing to the discussion of developments related to this field.
This visit reaffirms the commitment of Al-Zahraa University for Women to strengthening its relations with specialized research institutions and centres, as well as expanding horizons of international cooperation in priority fields, thereby supporting its academic journey, exchanging expertise and experiences, and developing areas of joint scientific research.
