Al-Zahraa (A.S.) University for Women held an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony on Sunday to mark the start of the 2026–2027 academic year, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the raising of the national flag at Iraqi universities.

The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, along with senior University officials and a number of faculty members, coinciding with the beginning of the new academic year and the resumption of academic and scientific activities across the University.

Prof. Al-Sultani affirmed that the University had completed its preparations for the new academic year, including the preparation of classrooms and scientific laboratories, the enhancement of green spaces and university facilities, and the provision of a suitable campus environment that supports students’ educational and academic journey.

She added that the University continues to develop its educational environment and strengthen its readiness in line with the requirements of the academic process, providing students with an appropriate atmosphere for learning and for developing their skills and capabilities.
