During a meeting held on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, met with Prof. Dr. Alia' Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University, where both parties expressed their readiness to establish joint scientific and academic programmes aimed at advancing the educational process in accordance with internationally recognised standards.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to organise conferences with mutual support and collaboration, with the purpose of exchanging and strengthening academic expertise between the two Universities. Discussions also addressed efforts to establish modern and specialised departments within the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies at the University, contributing to its academic advancement and development.
Furthermore, both sides explored the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to expand scientific activities and reinforce academic cooperation between the two institutions.
It is noteworthy that Northern Technical University is one of four technical Universities in Iraq, established in 2014 following the dissolution of the Technical Education Authority and the formation of technical Universities as its replacement. The University comprises nine Faculties and institutes specialising in engineering, administrative, agricultural, and medical disciplines, distributed across the governorates of Nineveh, Kirkuk, and Salah Al-Din.
