A high-level meeting was held under the auspices of His Eminence Al-Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the Legitimate Overseer of the Affairs of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, with the attendance of Al-Hajj Hassan Al-Abayechi, the Secretary-General, and Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Tamimi, the Head of the University Education Authority.
The delegation from ZUW, led by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, the University President, engaged in strategic discussions focused on advancing the educational trajectory of the universities overseen by the Holy Shrine.
The deliberations centred on: Institutional Growth: Refining administrative protocols and academic governance.
Problem-Solving & Innovation: Identifying operational obstacles and implementing effective, sustainable solutions to ensure institutional distinction.
Global Talent Acquisition: His Eminence Al-Sheikh Al-Karbalai emphasised the necessity of recruiting premier academic expertise from both domestic and international talent pools to enrich the teaching faculties.
Additionally, His Eminence further underscored that the pursuit of scientific rigour must be matched by a commitment to Research and Development (R&D). By fostering a robust research culture and supporting scholars, the universities aim to enhance the quality of their academic outputs.
Crucially, the meeting highlighted that Psychological and Educational Guidance is as fundamental to the student experience as academic instruction. Contributing to the strategic dialogue, Al-Hajj Al-Abayechi, advocated for the implementation of rigorous financial and administrative systems. He further noted that transparent and robust fiscal management is vital for maintaining the long-term trajectory and integrity of both institutions.
At the conclusion of the summit, Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her profound gratitude to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and His Eminence Al-Sheikh Al-Karbalai. She further lauded their unwavering patronage and visionary support, which continue to be the driving force behind the universities' pursuit of global academic standards.
