Within the framework of the field activities of the Media and Public Relations Department at ZUW, Prof. Abd Al-Amir Al-Quraishi, the Director of the Karbala Centre for Studies and Research, extended an invitation to the department to supervise the media aspect of the Scientific Arba'een Conference. The said event is scheduled to convene on 5–6 Safar 1444 AH, corresponding to 2–3 September 2022 AD.
The media specialist Ma'athir Talib, the Head of the Media and Public Relations Department at the University, emphasised the significance of this aspect in documenting the Arba'een pilgrimage as a blessed religious ritual, whilst introducing its importance to all segments of society. Furthermore, she noted its role in elucidating the links between Qur'anic, religious, and ideological concepts and the Imam Hussein heritage, alongside monitoring the challenges faced by pilgrims in service sectors, identifying the essential requirements of the pilgrimage, and highlighting voluntary work.
She further outlined the themes to be addressed at the conference, which include Qur'anic studies and Hadith, ideological studies, voluntary work, human development, technology and media, and historical and civilizational studies. The themes also encompass educational, social, and psychological studies, intellectual extremism, culture and arts, mass crowd management and security, economic studies, transport, and logistics. Besides, it was noted that the conference comprises several committees, including the scientific and preparatory committees, the advisory board, media and public relations, and the scientific academic council.
