A delegation from the Department of English Language at Al-Zahraa University for Women visited the Departments of English Language at the Faculties of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad, Al-Iraqia University, and the University of Kufa on Wednesday, 21 December 2022. The said event comes in line with its commitment to strengthening academic cooperation between Al-Zahraa University for Women and its counterpart Iraqi Universities. 

The delegation comprised Dr. Mustafa Abd Al-Sahib and Dr. Dhaifallah Zamil. The visit aimed to discuss the organisation of a joint academic debate and scientific competition to be hosted by Al-Zahraa University for Women in collaboration with the English Language Departments of the participating faculties. The initiative also sought to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the Department of English Language at ZUW and its counterpart departments across Iraq, with the objective of enhancing the academic development of female students and fostering a spirit of fair academic competition.

The proposed initiative was warmly welcomed by the majority of the departments visited, all of which expressed their willingness to participate.

It is worth noting that a previous visit had been made to the Faculty of Education Ibn Rushd and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Baghdad by Asst. Lect. Nibras Hamid and Asst. Lect. Amani Abd Al-Kadhim to discuss the same initiative.
