The Holy Qur'an House at Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, in cooperation with Al-Zahraa University for Women, launched the activities of the Fourth Imam Hussein International Conference at Umm Abiha Hall on Tuesday morning, 10 May 2022.

The Head of the Qur'anic Media Centre, Safa' Al-Silawi, stated: "The conference activities commenced under the title 'The Holy Qur'an and Contemporary Societal Issues' to address societal problems in accordance with Qur'an-based data, and the discussion of participating research papers commenced during the morning session."

Al-Silawi added: "The conference began with a recitation by the reader Falah Zalif, followed by a speech by Al-Sheikh Khair Al-Ddin Al-Hadi, the Head of the Holy Qur'an House Department, in which he emphasised the necessity of returning to the Book of Almighty Allah to resolve the social problems that society currently suffers from."

Al-Silawi continued: " Dr. Hamid Al-Tamimi, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs at Al-Zahraa University for Women, also delivered his speech, expressing his happiness and that of the University deanship in cooperating with the Holy Qur'an House in the Qur'an-related activities it launches to serve the public interest."

He indicated: "The conference witnessed a distinguished attendance of Iraqi university professors, students of religious and academic sciences, and delegations from the two Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein and Al-Abbas, and it was presented by Azhar Rahim, the media professional ." It is worth noting that the conference continues for two days.
