Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, and supervised by the University President, Prof. Dr Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, in cooperation with the "Alpha" Coding Club, launched the activities of the first training boot camp (Next Gen Coders Camp 2026). The event was attended by a number of faculty members and individuals interested in programming and modern technologies, welcoming participants aged 8–18.

In her speech during the opening ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr Ghayda Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, emphasized theimportance of investing in youth potential and developing their technical skills. She noted that accelerating digital transformation requires preparing a generation equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle modern technologies, thereby supporting the development journey and keeping pace with future requirements.

The opening ceremony featured a presentation of the boot camp's primary themes, which include artificial intelligence technologies and application development. It also introduced the training programme and practical activities designed to develop the technical and programming skills of the participants, enhancing their practical capabilities and enabling them to keep pace with rapid developments in the technological field.

The "Next Gen Coders Camp 2026" programme is designed to be an intensive and interactive educational journey aimed at developing participants' skills in programming and modern technologies, transitioning them from foundational levels to more advanced stages.

This boot camp represents one of the most prominent activities falling within the university's efforts, through the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, to support technical education and prepare a generation possessing the digital skills necessary to enhance technological presence and technical progress, contributing to the development of this vital sector in the country.
