His Eminence Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, the Legitimate Overseer of the Affairs of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, received a delegation of officials from the Health and Medical Education Authority and presidents of its affiliated universities at His Eminence’s Office.

The meeting was held at the gracious invitation of His Eminence Al-Karbala’i, who invited Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, along with a number of presidents of universities affiliated with Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. The meeting aimed to review the most significant medical and educational achievements and follow up on the provision of various services to the millions of visitors and pilgrims arriving in the city of the Master of Martyrs (Imam Hussein PBUH) during the Arb’een pilgrimage.His Eminence praised the efforts made by all those involved in serving the visitors.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani, presented the health and service activities undertaken by Al-Zahraa University for Women, including voluntary work and ceremonial service provided by academics from diverse specialisations at ZUW, as well as from Iraqi and regional universities. These academics participated in the Second International Al-Zahraa Academic Forum for Imam Hussein Camp.

The University also contributed through the participation of graduates of the Anaesthesia Department, who provided first aid to female visitors, as well as guidance, awareness and health education. In addition, medical care was provided through medical units operating in coordination with the Health and Medical Education Authority to serve visitors, with the participation of female students and the University’s administrative staff.
