Dr. Kamil Mahdi Al-Asadi, professor of Nutrition at Ahl Al-Bayt University, delivered a comprehensive seminar on the importance of food security and its role in promoting the health and well-being of families. The seminar also addressed the status of women and their contributions across various professional sectors, with particular emphasis on their role in strengthening food security and promoting the preparation of safe and healthy food.
Asst. Lect. Hiba Salem Jawad, Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the University, stated: “Food security represents one of the most prominent Sustainable Development objectives pursued by countries around the world. The said event was organised in conjunction with the global observance of World Food Day during October.”
