The University welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Minerals – Industrial Research and Development Authority on Monday, 26 December 2022, to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the scientific and applied fields. Additionally, the said event comes as part and parcel of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with state institutions and promoting joint initiatives through the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
The delegation represented Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Research Centre and Al-Razi Centre for Research and Production of Medical Diagnostic Equipment.
Dr. Intisar Jawad Al-Rumaihi, Director of Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Research Centre, stated to the University’s Media Department:
“This is the first visit by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals’ Industrial Research and Development Authority to Al-Zahraa University for Women. The purpose of the visit is to sign a memorandum of cooperation between our research centres and the University. We are keen to collaborate with the University in light of the excellence of its laboratories and the expertise of its academic staff, particularly in the Faculties of Pharmacy and Health and Medical Techniques. The work of our research centres closely aligns with the University’s medical specialisations, especially in pharmaceutical sciences and medical diagnostic equipment. This cooperation will contribute to greater integration between government institutions and the private sector, represented by Al-Zahraa University for Women. Furthermore, the research centre that will be established at the University will complement the work of our Ministry’s research institutions.”
It is worth noting that Al-Zahraa University for Women welcomes scientific and academic cooperation with reputable governmental and non-governmental institutions, particularly in the various medical specialisations across Iraq.
