Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, a dialogue session entitled “Women’s Discourse during Arb’een Pilgrimage: Challenges in Supporting the Holy Qur’an and Sustaining the Imam Hussein Service” was held.
The session was presented by Dr. Ghada Habb Allah, Prof. of International Relations at the Lebanese University, and Dr. Zainab Al-Tahan, and moderated by Dr. Jinan Al-Baldawi from the University of Samarra. It aimed to shed light on the role of women and their influential presence during the Arb’een pilgrimage, while highlighting their role in confronting challenges, supporting the Holy Qur’an in the face of misguided attacks, and sustaining the honourable the Imam Hussein service.
It bears noting that the dialogue session was held on the sidelines of the activities of the International Academic Women’s Forum for the Imam Hussein Camp, which features a range of activities as well as dialogue and intellectual sessions. Additionally, the forum is organised by Al-Zahraa University for Women from 10 to 20 Safar, in its second edition, under the slogan: “Walking towards Karbala, A Qur’anic Path and Belonging.”
