In accordance with the directives of His Eminence Al-Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the Legitimate Overseer of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and with the steadfast support of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President of ZUW, the University participated in the First National Team Quranic Competition. The said event was under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities, the event was hosted at the Islamic University (Babylon Branch) and attended by a significant number of participants representing universities and institutes across the Middle Euphrates region.

The initiative aims to activate Quranic projects while empowering women by developing their capabilities and providing opportunities for engagement in diverse religious and intellectual activities. Dr. Faten Al-Daami, Head of the Department of Student Activities, stated to the University’s official media: "ZUW is committed to adopting and participating in purposeful activities that nurture our female students' talents. This includes the participation of our female students in this national competition, which covers the fields of recitation, memorisation, and interpretation (Tafsir)."

She further noted that the competition featured 30 teams from 20 different universities and institutes, involving over 90 contestants. The event spanned three consecutive days, during which the ZUW team competed against the Islamic University (Diwaniyah Branch). The participating female students, Naba' Abd Al-Muslim, Zainab Fadel Abd Al-Sada, and Zainab Muthanna Khalid, expressed their immense pride and joy in taking part in such a blessed initiative.
