University of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) for Women participated in the activities of the University Challenge and Creativity Competition, hosted by Al-Noor University in Nineveh Governorate, with broad participation from 40 public and private universities across various Iraqi provinces. The event was held in a competitive environment aimed at developing students’ capabilities and encouraging innovation across different academic disciplines.

The competition went through several stages, during which 19 universities qualified to the second round after passing the preliminary selection phase. The evaluation process was based on strict criteria focusing on the originality of projects, their practical value, and the level of creativity, culminating in the final stage where the top eight universities were selected across all categories.

In a remarkable achievement, students of University of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) for Women secured advanced results, winning third place overall across all competition categories, in addition to first place in the “Cultures, History, and Heritage” track. The university was also ranked as the leading private university among all participating institutions.

This success was achieved through the participation of students from the College of Engineering with their project titled “RE Heritage,” an innovative initiative that employs artificial intelligence technologies to revive cultural and historical heritage and present it in contemporary formats aligned with technological advancement, reflecting a scientific vision that bridges authenticity and modernity.

This accomplishment further highlights the advanced academic level of the university’s students and underscores the institution’s continuous commitment to fostering creativity and supporting pioneering projects, contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological development and serving society.
