The Department of English Language at the Faculty of Education, Al-Zahraa University for Women, organised a voluntary visit to the Warith International Cancer Institute, an affiliate of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, to visit children diagnosed with cancer. This initiative is part of numerous voluntary activities that the University regularly champions within the framework of community service and voluntary work. The said event comes by providing moral and logistical support to assist patients through their hardships, bring smiles to their innocent faces, and offer psychological support.

A delegation of volunteer female students was accompanied by several members of the academic staff. Upon arrival, the team distributed gifts and presented flowers to the children admitted to the institute. The visit also included a meeting between the female students and the medical staff to learn about the workflow and operational mechanisms.

The administration of the institute demonstrated great cooperation with the volunteer delegation and praised their commendable efforts, which serve as a significant pillar of support for the patients. It is worth noting that Warith International Cancer Institute is a comprehensive humanitarian project and the largest hospital in Iraq for cancer treatment. It is equipped with the latest medical devices from reputable international manufacturers for medical diagnosis and radiation therapy.
