Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani , President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, was hosted in a meeting by the Directorate of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hussein Saleh , Director General of the Directorate of Research and Development. The said meeting comes within the Ministry’s serious endeavour to reshape the future of university academic relations between various prestigious Iraqi and regional universities.

It bears noting that a number of important academic issues were discussed, most notably supporting efforts to consolidate international relations with prestigious universities, and discussing amendments to certain regulations and instructions regarding opening branches of foreign universities in Iraq by introducing pivotal changes to some of them in a manner commensurate with the importance of the solutions developed for them.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Directorate of Research and Development, also included deliberations on finding mechanisms for scientific cooperation and activating memoranda of understanding with regionally and globally prestigious universities, as well as the university twinning file and establishing a clear programme for the visiting professor.
