Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine, the Department of Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation, in cooperation with Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, organized an intellectual and cultural program as part of the initiative to raise the banner of Imam Hussein (PBUH) across Iraqi universities. The event was attended by a number of religious, academic, and cultural figures.
In his address, Mr. Nabil Al-Hassani, President of the Nahj Al-Balagha Sciences Foundation, emphasized that the revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH) embodies unique intellectual and scholarly dimensions that have played a pivotal role in shaping human consciousness and promoting the values of truth, justice, and reform. He also highlighted the responsibility of universities in transmitting this rich intellectual legacy to students and strengthening its presence within the academic environment.
For her part, the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, stressed the importance of embodying the Husseini approach in university life and underscored the educational and cultural role of academic institutions in preparing generations equipped with knowledge, awareness, and firmly rooted values capable of addressing contemporary challenges.
The program forms part of a series of awareness and educational initiatives implemented by the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine in cooperation with academic institutions. These initiatives aim to promote authentic cultural values and reinforce the humanitarian principles inspired by the school of Imam Hussein (PBUH), contributing to the development of a generation that is firmly grounded in its values and principles.
