The delegation of Al-Zahraa University for Women continues its official daily visits during its participation in Expo Dubai 2020 in the United Arab Emirates. On the sidelines of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, met with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Abd Al-Sahb, during his visit to the exhibition accompanied by the ministerial delegation and the Iraqi Ambassador to Dubai, Dr. Mudhafar Al-Jubouri.
During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research expressed his admiration for the projects adopted by the Holy Shrines, including academic Universities such as Al-Zahraa University for Women, highlighting its significance as the first University in Iraq dedicated to female students. He affirmed that the University has become a distinguished academic landmark worthy of pride and appreciation.
The Minister further stated that the Ministry closely follows the development and scientific achievements of this distinguished project, considering it part of the pioneering and exceptional contributions presented by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine across various sectors.
For her part, the President of the University extended an invitation to the official delegation at the Iraqi Embassy to visit the University and closely observe the details of this academic and architectural institution, which is largely managed by highly competent and distinguished female professionals.
The Minister also reaffirmed his continuous support for private Universities alongside public institutions, particularly in relation to maintaining scientific and academic standards. Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Jubouri expressed his readiness to support Iraqi Universities, including Al-Zahraa University for Women, in strengthening bridges of cooperation with Universities in the United Arab Emirates through the attraction of academic expertise and specialised competencies.
In another context, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women confirmed that the recent visit of the University delegation to Dubai achieved positive outcomes in strengthening international relations within the academic community and preparing for several agreements between the University and local as well as international institutions, including Northern Technical University and Al-Nukhba University Faculty. Among the most notable initiatives was the attraction of specialists from the United States in the fields of special education and educational psychology to contribute to the autism centres affiliated with Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.
The visit also resulted in agreements for joint cooperation with specialised academic institutions, in addition to reaching an understanding with academic Dr. Rasha Al-Akeeli, a specialist in educational technology at a British University, to provide training consultations related to distinguished teaching and learning methodologies.
