On the sidelines of the University Short Film Festival, Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in the closing ceremony of the festival events held at Ahl Al-Bayt University. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Hamid Al-Najdi, the President of Ahl Al-Bayt University, alongside Mr. Ahmed Hanoun, the representative of the Students Activities Department within the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to distinguish group of guests and academic figures from participating universities.
Dr. Faten Al-Daami, Head of the Students' Activities Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, affirmed that contributing to such activities represents a positive step that helps deliver an educational message through an alternative medium. She further noted that the screened films addressed important concepts, such as respect for others, the importance of cooperation, voluntary work, and anti-bullying, among other purposeful topics. She added that the University participated in an introductory documentary film showcasing its faculties, departments, and robust scientific laboratories. The participating films received prestigious awards in appreciation of the efforts made by the participants, through which the University secured the Shield of Creativity.
It is noteworthy that the events of the University Short Film Festival continued for five days, featuring the participation of thirty public and private universities and Faculties from various Iraqi cities.
