The Presidency of Al-Zahraa University for Women extends its congratulations to Dr. Mostafa Al-Khafaji, Director of the Electronic Computing Centre and lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, on obtaining a PhD from Karabuk University, Türkiye.

His doctoral thesis, entitled “A Hybrid Approach for Medical Image Compression Using Deep Learning and Classical Feature Extraction Techniques”, presents an innovative and effective method for medical image compression. Additionally, the study integrates artificial intelligence (deep learning) with classical techniques, aiming to facilitate the storage and transmission of medical images while preserving the level of precision required for accurate medical diagnosis.

This scientific achievement reflects the advanced standing of the University in the fields of research and innovation, adding qualitative value to its academic trajectory and affirming the spirit of creativity and excellence demonstrated by its staff.
