The President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, accompanied by the Director of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, Asst. Prof. Dr Sadiq Al-Murshidi, participated in the proceedings of the international symposium titled "Diplomacy of Pilgrimage and Educational and Civilizational Role of Arbaeen Pilgrimage". The symposium was organized by Al-Hilla University in cooperation with Imam Reza International University under the slogan "From Razavi Shrine to Hussaini Arbaeen: Pilgrimage, Convergence of Peoples, and Horizons of Islamic Civilization".

The participation of the University President came within a dialogue session that brought together several university presidents, academics, and researchers from Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss intellectual, cultural, and educational dimensions of the pilgrimage, alongside its role in enhancing communication among peoples.

The session addressed several academic visions associated with the concept of pilgrimage diplomacy, highlighting the opportunities the Arbaeen pilgrimage provides for rapprochement among societies and scientific and cultural institutions. It also emphasized its role in consolidating human values, solidarity, and cooperation as a phenomenon with educational and civilizational extensions that transcend religious dimensions.

During the panel session, Al-Sultani presented her vision regarding the educational and civilizational dimensions of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, noting the importance of addressing this occasion in academic studies and research to explore its cognitive and human values and its reflections in enhancing civilizational dialogue and cultural exchange.

This participation falls within the scientific presence of Al-Zahraa University for Women in academic and intellectual events, reflecting its commitment to addressing topics of paramount significance, particularly those associated with the Arbaeen pilgrimage, and opening research paths exploring its dimensions and impacts in humanitarian and cultural fields.
