Al-Zahraa University received an official delegation from the Iraqi Association for Information and Communications Technology, coordinated by the Department of Science and Technology Parks, in a visit aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation and exchanging expertise in the fields of education and modern technologies.
The delegation was headed by Dr. Eng. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwailidi, accompanied by the Association’s Secret keeper, Dr. Yasser Al-Jawhar, and the Director of the Association’s Karbala Office, Dr. Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Sabbagh. The delegation was received by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, in the presence of senior administrative staff, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abd Al-Hussein.
The visit included an expanded meeting during which several key areas of mutual interest were discussed. Foremost among these was the agreement to establish a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at creating an institutional framework for scientific and technical collaboration, as well as enhancing the exchange of knowledge and expertise between both parties.
Both sides also discussed ways to support higher education by aligning it with labor market requirements, in addition to exploring the implementation of joint programs, including training courses and scientific activities. These initiatives aim to develop students’ technical and scientific skills and supply the labor market with qualified graduates.
This visit reflects the University’s commitment to expanding cooperation with relevant institutions, strengthening its academic standing, supporting quality in higher education, and contributing to the development of the information and communications technology sector in Iraq.
