The Continuing Education Centre organised a training workshop entitled “Arts of Festival Management and Protocol for Receiving Distinguished Guests.” Additionally, the workshop was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, and as part and parcel of the University’s commitment to enhancing organisational skills and developing the capabilities of its staff.

The workshop was held in preparation for the Fourth International Cultural Al-Kawthar Al-'Ismah Festival, organised by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. It aimed to enhance the readiness of the University’s Public Relations and Media Team and advance its professional performance.

Ms Alaa Taher delivered the workshop, with the participation of Prof. Adnan Al-Jarakh, a lecturer at Adibat Al-Tuff Institute. It focused on training the University’s Public Relations and Media Team in managing major festivals and preparing for the Al-Kawthar Al-'Ismah Festival, ensuring that events are conducted professionally and systematically while reflecting the University’s standing as a leading scientific institution.

The workshop included practical and theoretical sessions addressing protocols for receiving distinguished guests, managing organising committees, coordinating work teams, and comprehensive event planning. Particular emphasis was also placed on the role of university media in providing professional coverage of events and communicating them to the wider community in a manner that reflects the University’s standing and highlights its organisational and academic efforts.

The workshop forms part of the University’s plan to develop the practical skills of female students and graduates and empower them to acquire advanced expertise in managing festivals and official events. This contributes to strengthening their professional presence and prepares them to participate effectively in scientific, cultural, and social activities at various levels.
