During a scientific tour that included northern universities, an official delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, visited a number of government and private academic institutions. This commenced with a visit to Komar University of Science and Technology in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, a private university established under a licence from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government, where she met Prof. Dr. Salah Saeed, President of the University.

In the midst of the same tour, the University delegation also visited Al-Kitab University and inspected a number of its academic and educational facilities. The delegation was received by an official delegation headed by Prof. Dr. Ayad Barzanji, President of Al-Kitab University, Prof. Dr. Latif Barzanji, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and several relevant university officials.

It is worth noting that the parties agreed to prepare the appropriate scientific environments for exchanging research capabilities, as well as to review several official steps for universities to enter international rankings. They also agreed to achieve an effective partnership in the fields of scientific research and laboratory capabilities available in both universities, in addition to concluding a joint cooperation agreement between Al-Zahraa University for Women and Al-Kitab University, as it is a specialised academic institution within the private university education sector of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and retains a number of joint faculties within its university campus.
