On the sidelines of a visit by a delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women to attend the International Education Conference in India, Manipal University hosted the University delegation to hold an extensive meeting. Additionally, discussions were conducted with Dr. Raghu Radhakrishnan, the Director of International Relations, Dr. Diana Brinto, the Director of International Admissions, and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Professions and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, Dr Arun Maiya. The meeting aimed to explore avenues of cooperation between the two universities across various academic and research sectors, alongside the exchange of medical expertise through faculty exchange programmes and student training initiatives.

The delegation also toured the faculties, medical and physiotherapy laboratories, and visited the Skills Centre, which showcases an advanced vision of future technological developments.

In a related context, the delegation visited the Manipal Teaching Hospital in Manipal, where they held a dialogue with the Hospital Director, Dr Jibu Thomas. During the visit, they familiarised themselves with the hospital departments and discussed potential clinical training opportunities for students from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Nursing.

Furthermore, the delegation visited KMC Hospital in the Indian city of Mangalore, conducting an extensive dialogue with its Director, Dr Saghir Siddiqui, to discuss its departments and medical capacities, while exploring prospective training opportunities for students.
