The quality of student dormitories, particularly in terms of the services and facilities provided, plays a vital role in ensuring a comfortable living environment that reflects recent developments and enables students to focus on their academic responsibilities and creative pursuits. Accordingly, Al-Zahraa University for Women is committed to making its student dormitories a distinctive, welcoming and modern living environment. The University strives to provide contemporary facilities and high-quality services that promote students’ psychological well-being and ensure their comfort throughout their stay. All concerned staff work diligently to maintain high standards of service within the dormitories. Vision, Message and Goals

About Department

Social Research Division Responsible for monitoring students’ social conditions, reviewing special cases, and providing support and guidance to ensure a stable and suitable residential environment. Accounts Division Responsible for organizing and monitoring financial and administrative matters related to the dormitories, including fee collection, maintaining financial records, and managing accounting procedures in accordance with approved regulations. Housing Division Responsible for organizing student accommodation, room allocation, and supervising housing affairs to ensure a safe and well-organized living environment. Maintenance and Services Division Responsible for overseeing routine and emergency maintenance work and providing the necessary logistical services to ensure the continuity of operations and the safety of dormitory facilities.

Vision

The Department of Dormitory Affairs at Al-Zahraa University for Women aspires to become one of Iraq’s leading and most distinguished student dormitory departments. It is committed to developing the University’s female student residential complexes into exemplary models of student dormitories that other universities can look to as a benchmark for excellence.

Message

The core mission of the Department of Dormitory Affairs at Al-Zahraa University for Women is to provide a suitable living environment for female students, offering them a home away from home and alleviating the difficulties associated with living far from their home cities. The Department also seeks to ensure a comfortable and supportive atmosphere that enables female students to focus on their studies and achieve academic excellence.

Goals

1. To provide a psychologically supportive and academically conducive environment for female students residing in the University’s dormitories. 2. To ensure the availability of suitably qualified administrative staff necessary for the effective management of the dormitories. 3. To help female students overcome their challenges through direct guidance and individual counselling, as well as indirect guidance through educational lectures, in collaboration with the Psychological and Educational Counselling Unit. 4. To promote student activities and encourage female students to pursue creativity, innovation and continuous achievement. 5. To provide suitable, modern student dormitories that meet contemporary international standards. 6. To foster the personal development of female students by encouraging them to live harmoniously with their peers despite differences in personalities and temperaments, thereby promoting mutual learning, the exchange of opinions and collaborative decision-making. 7. To establish student committees within the dormitories and hold regular meetings with their members to gather suggestions regarding activities and identify students’ needs, enabling the Department to address these needs and continually improve its services.
