Al-Zahraa University for Women, represented by Lect. Dr. Aa'da Abboud Hussein, the Director of the Department of Student Activities, participated in the Ministerial Meeting of Directors of Student Activities Departments at public and private universities. The meeting was hosted by Al-Farabi University in Baghdad under the auspices of Prof. Dr. N'eem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Additionally, the meeting was attended by Dr. Hasanein Al-Shadidi, the Director of the Department of Student Activities at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside directors of departments and divisions responsible for student activities at various public and private universities and faculties.
The meeting addressed the student activities plan for the 2025–2026 academic year, with a focus on mechanisms for developing extracurricular programmes and supporting the development of well-rounded students, thereby contributing to a dynamic and active university environment. Discussions also explored ways to broaden student participation and foster a spirit of competition and creativity.
The University confirmed that its participation in the meeting is aligned with its vision and mission of supporting its female students and providing a safe and stimulating educational environment that contributes to developing their capabilities and nurturing their talents. The University also affirmed its continued commitment to advancing student activities through the organisation of diverse events across various fields and the launch of innovative initiatives aimed at strengthening female students’ self-confidence and empowering them to achieve academic excellence.
