Al-Zahraa University for Women welcomed an official delegation from Al-Hamdaniya University, headed by Prof. Dr. Nash't Mubarak Sliwa, the University President. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Husseini, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Al-Murshidi, Head of the Department of Radiology; and Lect. Dr. Aa’da Abboud Hussein, Director of the Student Activities Department.
The visit aimed to renew the signing of the joint Memorandum of Understanding previously concluded between the two universities. The memorandum seeks to deepen cooperation in scientific, research, and administrative fields, facilitate the exchange of academic expertise, and organise joint activities and programmes that contribute to enhancing the quality of university performance at both institutions.
During the meeting, both sides emphasised the importance of opening broad avenues for joint cooperation in a manner that strengthens the universities’ mission of serving the community and contributes to the development of both the educational and research environments. This comes in line with the plans of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support institutional partnerships among Iraqi universities.
For Al-Zahraa University for Women, the memorandum represents a practical step towards strengthening its academic standing and engaging with established university experiences. Through this partnership, the University seeks to develop its educational programmes, encourage joint scientific research, exchange expertise and successful practices, and support student and cultural activities that contribute to the academic journey.
