Al-Zahraa University for Women held a memorial ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the esteemed leader Sayyid Hassan Nasur_Allah (may his soul rest in peace). The event was in line with the University’s commitment to honouring the nation’s distinguished figures and leaders who sacrificed their lives in defence of noble principles, and as an embodiment of loyalty to the righteous martyrs.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President University, affirmed that remembering this inspirational leader, the martyr of victory and the nation, is not merely an act of commemoration, but rather a moment to draw inspiration from his teachings, his jihadist contributions, and his heroic stance. She further stressed that such remembrance renews the pledge of loyalty to his path, one rooted in the defence of national causes, and in upholding truth and justice regardless of the sacrifices required. Sayyid Nasru-Allah, she noted, represents a school of sacrifice, a symbol of resilience, and a living voice within the conscience of the world’s free people, a voice of dignity and honour amid the challenges and crises of our time.
Additionally, affirming its educational and scholarly mission, the University continues to play a leading role in preserving the memory of noble martyrs through a range of academic and cultural activities. These initiatives seek to instil in its female students the values of sacrifice and selflessness inspired by Al-Hussaini martyrdom School, thus preparing a conscious and responsible generation capable of serving its homeland and society with integrity and commitment to the principles of humanity and justice.
