Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, the Department of Student Activities, in collaboration with the Holy Qur’an House affiliated with the Shrine, organised an educational seminar entitled: “The Qur’anic Encyclopaedia: An Everlasting Gift.”

The seminar was delivered by Dr.Murtadha Jamal Al-Din, Assistant Head of the Holy Qur’an House at the Shrine, while the sessions were moderated by Mr. Ali Talib, Lawyer and Director of the Qur’anic Project in Universities.

The session commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Lect. Dr. Aa’da Abboud Hussein, Director of the Student Activities Department, alongside several deans and heads of departments. In his address, Dr. Al-Qazzaz affirmed the significance of the Qur’an and the necessity of integrating its guidance into all aspects of life. He further stressed the significance of activating knowledge and drawing upon Qur’anic sciences in shaping both individuals and communities.

For his part, Dr. Jamal Al-Din outlined the key themes and sections of the Qur’anic Encyclopaedia, highlighting its scholarly value and its contribution as a significant intellectual resource. He also presented a copy of the encyclopaedia as a gift to enrich the University’s library, describing it as a valuable academic legacy. The speaker further stressed the significance of such events in promoting Qur’anic culture and the values of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as essential sources of guidance that help counter negative trends within society.

In this context, the University affirms its ongoing commitment to supporting Qur’anic and intellectual activities as a core component of its educational mission, one that seeks to strengthen female students’ religious and cultural identity and to embed Qur’anic values throughout their academic and personal journeys.
