University of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) for Women held a coordination meeting attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zohair Mohammed Ali Jadoua, with a delegation from the Al-Bidaya Center for Development, including Dr. Ali Azadi, and the Director of the “Raytak International Forum,” Dr. Amir Al-Mousawi, along with a number of specialists. The meeting was held as part of efforts to enhance services provided during the Arbaeen million-visitor pilgrimage.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for launching awareness campaigns targeting pilgrims, including health, organizational, and behavioral guidance, aimed at improving their safety and contributing to smoother and more efficient crowd management.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of integrating roles between Hussaini processions, government institutions, holy shrines, and the private sector in order to achieve optimal outcomes in field service management.
The session witnessed the presentation of a set of practical initiatives aimed at transforming ideas into implementable projects, including the development of unified digital platforms for service management, the adoption of smart mapping systems to locate processions and medical service points, as well as the implementation of training programs for volunteers in first aid and crowd management.
The meeting was attended by a number of relevant department heads at the university, where agreement was reached to expand avenues of joint cooperation in line with the challenges accompanying mass pilgrimage events, contributing to more integrated and efficient service delivery.
The meeting aligns with the university’s strategic vision to harness scientific and technological capabilities and leverage academic expertise in serving the community, while developing advanced models for managing mass pilgrimage visits that contribute to improving the overall quality of services provided.
