The President of Al-Zahraa University for Women (Peace Be Upon Her), Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, received on Monday a delegation from the Republic of Madagascar comprising Sheikh Hanif Al-Madagascar and Sheikh Sajjad Al-Rubaie, representative of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in Madagascar. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hassan Hadi Al-Qazzaz, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, and focused on exploring prospects for scientific cooperation and strengthening international partnerships in educational and academic fields.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several areas of mutual interest, most notably the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between Madagascar and Iraq, represented by Al-Zahraa University for Women (Peace Be Upon Her), as well as opportunities to implement joint scientific programs.

Prof. Dr. Al-Mulla Al-Sultani emphasized the importance of engaging with academic and scientific institutions worldwide and strengthening academic cooperation in line with developments in education and scientific research. She noted that Al-Zahraa University for Women seeks to expand its international partnerships, particularly by attracting female students from Madagascar to pursue studies across various disciplines under the “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

For its part, the delegation expressed its interest in strengthening cooperation with Al-Zahraa University for Women and opening new avenues for joint initiatives. The delegation also stressed the importance of developing academic and scientific programs that contribute to advancing education and enhancing scientific exchange between Iraq and Madagascar.
