Al-Zahraa University for Women hosted Braeem Karbala Secondary Private School for visually challenged within the big annual festival dedicated to the empowerment of individuals with special needs. This event was organized by the University’s Faculty of Education as well as its Continuous Education Center. Additionally, during the University's cultural week,
several outstanding high school students presented such theatrical performances,
as a play entitled "Path of Light." It is noteworthy that the said play is an adaptation of "The sightless",
a play by the Belgian writer Maurice Maeterlinck/ translated by Safa Al-Nashi.

Based on the endeavor of Al-Zahraa University for Women to revive religious occasions, and to sponsor activities that contribute to implanting beliefs and educational and intellectual values, the Women’s Empowerment Division organized an initiative on the occasion of the marriage anniversary of the two lights (Imam Ali and Mrs. Fatima Al-Zahraa (pbutb)).
