Department of Legal Affairs

The Department of Legal Affairs serves as a vital safeguard and a fundamental pillar in ensuring the legality and soundness of decisions and procedures across Al-Zahraa University for Women. It is responsible for ensuring that the University’s academic and administrative objectives are aligned with applicable laws, regulations, instructions and legal provisions. The Department seeks to establish a university environment founded on the rule of law, justice and transparency. Its mission is to protect the rights of the University, its staff and its female students by providing accurate legal advice that helps prevent legal loopholes and disputes before they arise. The Department plays a pivotal role across several key areas: * Legal Consultation: Providing legal opinions and advice on matters referred to the University Presidency to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. * University Representation: Defending the University’s interests before competent courts and various investigative authorities, and following up on legal proceedings in which the University is a party. * Drafting Contracts and Agreements: Preparing and reviewing contracts concluded with external entities, including investment, service, university service and university employment contracts, as well as academic memoranda of understanding.
