The Legal Affairs Department serves as the safeguard and cornerstone for ensuring the integrity of decisions and procedures within the university. It is responsible for aligning academic and administrative aspirations with applicable legal texts, instructions, and regulations. The Legal Affairs Department strives to establish a university environment based on the rule of law, justice, and transparency. Its mission is to protect the rights of the university, its staff, and its students by providing accurate legal counsel that prevents legal loopholes or disputes before they arise. The department plays a pivotal role that branches out into several vital areas: * Legal Consultations: Providing opinions and advice on all matters presented to the university administration to ensure their compliance with the law. * Representing the University: Defending the university's interests before the competent courts and various investigative bodies, and following up on legal cases in which the university is a party. * Drafting Contracts and Agreements: Preparing and reviewing contracts concluded with external parties, whether they are investment, service, university service, or university work contracts, or academic memoranda of understanding.

About Department

The legal affairs department in universities acts as the "legal guardian" of the university. It is the department responsible for ensuring that all transactions and decisions are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and bylaws, protecting the rights of the university and its affiliates, providing legal opinions on matters referred to it by the university president or deans of colleges to ensure that administrative decisions comply with regulations, reviewing and drafting agreements, memoranda of understanding, and project contracts concluded by the university with external parties, and conducting investigations into administrative violations by employees or faculty members.

The vision of legal affairs in universities is to transform from a "mere procedural department" that deals with problems after they occur, to a "preventive strategic partner" that contributes to building a disciplined and sustainable academic environment. "To achieve a leading university environment in terms of regulations, guaranteeing rights and protecting interests through a sophisticated legal system characterized by fairness, transparency, and innovation."

The mission of the legal affairs department in universities is to provide specialized and comprehensive legal support to ensure the soundness of decisions and protect the rights of all parties, and to work to provide legal protection for the university, its assets, and its staff, through providing accurate legal advice, drafting sound contracts, conducting fair investigations, and spreading regulatory awareness to ensure that all university practices comply with national laws and regulations.
