Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, delivered a cultural lecture entitled “Muslim Women Between Protection and Liberation” during a scientific seminar organised by the Islamic University, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, in Najaf Al-Ashraf, to mark International Women’s Day.
The seminar was held under the slogan “The Leadership Role of Hijabi Women in Confronting Cultural Invasion” and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, members of the academic staff, and a number of female students.
In her lecture, Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani highlighted the most significant challenges facing Muslim women in contemporary society. She emphasised that these challenges can be addressed by embracing the values and principles exemplified by Lady Fatimah Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) and adopting her as a role model in all aspects of life.
The lecture also discussed the widespread dissemination of misconceptions promoted through various media outlets, particularly those relating to concepts such as freedom and culture.
