Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the supervision of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and the management of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate, organized a scientific workshop entitled "Training and Preparing Newly Graduated Pharmacy Students for the Job Market."

The workshop was attended by the University's Scientific Assistant President, Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jadoa; Dr. Ali Ghani Abdul Ameer, representative of the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate; Dr. Sarmad Alwan Hussein, Director of the Inspection Department at the Karbala Health Directorate; Dr. Hussein Ali Kadhim, Media Officer of the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate; the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Naeem; Head of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Branch and Chair of the Graduate Follow-up Committee, Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Razzaq Mohammed; Head of the Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Industry Branch, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Qasim Alawi Badr; Head of the Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ruaa Ali Ubaid; in addition to the College's graduates.

The workshop featured three main sessions. In the first session, Dr. Ali Ghani Abdul Ameer highlighted the role of the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate in supporting pharmacists, enhancing their professional competencies, and providing services to its members. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the Syndicate's regulations and professional standards governing pharmacy practice.

In the second session, Dr. Sarmad Alwan Hussein addressed the legal and regulatory framework governing the pharmacy profession, stressing the necessity of complying with applicable laws and joining the Pharmacists Syndicate as the official legal and professional body that safeguards pharmacists' rights.

The final session was delivered by Dr. Hussein Ali Kadhim, who reviewed the key provisions of the Pharmacists Syndicate Law, as well as the regulations and instructions governing its work. The session aimed to familiarize graduates with their rights and responsibilities while strengthening their legal and professional awareness before entering the labor market.

At the conclusion of the workshop, both the College of Pharmacy and the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate reaffirmed the importance of strengthening their collaboration and continuing to organize training programs and workshops that enhance students' and graduates' professional competencies and prepare them to meet the evolving demands of the labor market. The College also honored the speakers with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their valuable scientific contributions and their role in the success of the workshop.
