Al-Zahraa University for Women held the second meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council under the chairmanship of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, with the attendance of a group of academics and representatives of industrial and professional sectors in Iraq, to discuss ways of developing academic curricula and linking them to practical reality and the modern labor market requirements.

The Science and Technology Parks Department coordinated and followed up on the meeting’s activities to strengthen cooperation between the colleges and the concerned institutions, supporting the innovative environment within the university.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of the Industrial Advisory Council in supporting the university’s academic plans by providing visions and proposals that contribute to the development of academic programs and curricula, ensuring they keep pace with the rapid changes in the labor market and help prepare more competent graduates equipped with scientific and professional skills capable of excellence and contribution in various fields.

The meeting also addressed several key topics focused on strengthening the practical aspect of the educational process by expanding areas of cooperation with professional and industrial institutions. This would provide high-quality training and qualification opportunities for female students and contribute to enhancing their readiness to integrate into work environments after graduation.

This meeting reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuously supporting the work of the Industrial Advisory Council and activating its role as an effective platform for communication between the university and various labor institutions, based on its belief in the importance of institutional partnership in improving the quality of higher education and achieving more efficient academic outcomes.
