The Department of Construction and Engineering Projects held a panel discussion entitled (Waste Management and Methods of Control and Treatment of Medical Waste) delivered by a lecturer at the University of Baghdad / College of Engineering (Professor Dr. Haider Muhammad Abdul Hamid).
The workshop included a detailed discussion about waste management systems, types and recycling, as well as methods of control and treatment of medical waste, and modern methods of dealing with medical waste.
The workshop aimed to develop the capabilities of workers in the health, environmental and municipal sectors and students of the medical group, with the aim of spreading environmental awareness and correct engineering concepts in integrated waste management in general and medical waste in particular and also emphasized upon the concept of sustainability .
