Prof. Dr Ali Jafar Al-Hussaini, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, chaired the examination committee for a Master’s thesis defense at the Faculty of Engineering, Mustansiriya University. The thesis, presented by postgraduate student Huda Hussein Mazyad from the Department of Electrical Engineering, explored a specialised topic on the modelling and analysis of a modern electric motor type used in electric vehicle systems.
The study involved the design and simulation of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, aiming to evaluate its performance and elevate its operational efficiency. This technology represents an important component in the development of electric propulsion systems due to its high efficiency and capability to meet the requirements of modern vehicles.
Prof. Dr Al-Hussaini emphasised the importance of supporting applied research in the fields of energy and electric motors, and capitalising on their outcomes to advance the industrial and technological sectors. He stressed the necessity of strengthening scientific cooperation and exchanging expertise, thereby contributing to the elevation of scientific research and directing it towards applications that serve society and keep pace with engineering advancements.
This participation reinforces the significance of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s role in supporting scientific research and developing applied studies within engineering fields, contributing to the enhancement of academic collaboration and elevating the standard of scientific output.
