Buraq Jaafar Abdullah a lecturer at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – (Department of Radiology) obtained a patent for registering (strain) a new type of bacteria (Escherichia coli) under the name (1Q1 gene) to be added to the National Center for Global Biotechnology Information in the National Library of Medicine. Indeed a great achievement in field of biotechnologies the acquired patent has gained momentum of success for Al Zahraa University for women as it continues to advance in the scientific domain.
