Under the auspices of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, organized an awareness seminar entitled:
“Today’s Awareness… Tomorrow’s Protection from Drugs”
The seminar was delivered by the Head of the Psychological Counseling Division, Lect. Dr. Nasreen Ali Al-Jilawi, who addressed the dangers of drug abuse on both individuals and society. She highlighted its negative impact on mental and physical health, in addition to discussing the factors that may lead some individuals to engage in such behaviors.
The seminar also emphasized the importance of early awareness, strengthening the role of families and educational institutions in prevention, and the need to promote health culture. It encouraged students to adopt positive behaviors that protect them from this serious issue.
This seminar comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ health and behavioral awareness, and to promote a culture of prevention against social issues, contributing to the creation of a safe and supportive university environment that protects youth from behavioral risks.
