Under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, the Women’s Affairs Division, in collaboration with the College of Engineering and Information Technology and the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop titled “Data Analysis,” delivered by the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Heba Jabbar Al-Aqabi, with the participation of a number of female lecturers and students.
The workshop addressed the concept of data analysis and its growing importance in interpreting indicators and forecasting economic, health, and educational changes, as it represents one of the most prominent contemporary tools supporting decision-making and shaping the future.
It also reviewed the transformations that the field of data analysis has undergone between the past and the present, in light of the rapid development of artificial intelligence applications and social media platforms, which have resulted in a massive flow of data and increased the need to develop more efficient tools and techniques for analyzing information and extracting accurate results.
In its concluding section, the workshop emphasized the importance of women’s role in keeping pace with this digital development by enhancing technological awareness and utilizing data analysis applications across various aspects of life, contributing to the building of a cognitive awareness capable of engaging with the demands of the modern era.
