University Mission
The University contributes to the formation of female student's ideal personality in line with the mission of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research by consistent efforts to engender positive changes in the behaviors and attitudes of students. This change is intended to be brought about by developing teaching, learning and training activities within the framework of a clear strategy with special emphasis on an authentic Islamic orientation that keeps pace with scientific and technological developments, to reach full satisfaction with the outcomes of the educational process.
Objectives of the University
Al-Zahraa University for Women aspires to achieve its vision and mission through the realization of following objectives:
- Consolidating moral and religious values among University staff members and students by activating the role of guidance and counsel, as well as developing cognitive, scientific and practical abilities.
- Enhancing the University's scientific position among academic and scientific communities through the enhancement of the educational system with its three elements (teaching, curriculum and students) in order to achieve the University's vision and mission.
- Improving the institutional capacity of the university by providing administrative and financial services that go in accordance with the quality and efficiency standards.
- Increasing the balance of academic research through qualitative research to achieve the strategic objectives of the University.
- Increasing the number of applied research to meet the research national needs consistent with the standards of academic and institutional accreditation.
- Promoting scientific realities through the rehabilitation and development of educational outputs by following the latest scientific programs and cognitive methods in teaching techniques.
- Providing state institutions and scientific centers with qualified female researchers in the fields of health, medical and educational sciences in a manner that meets the requirements of the labor market.
- Furthering the capabilities of the University's academic staff through training and research participation, by opening cooperation horizons of with educational institutions at the local, regional and global levels.
- Blending local competence with foreign sobriety through the conclusion of international scientific agreements with reputable universities.
- Improving the capabilities of teaching staff and developing their skills in scientific research and innovation through high-tech educational programs.
