Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam-Hussain, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Zahraa University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and managed by the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Khafaji, the Faculty organized its First Student Scientific Conference in cooperation with the Student Activities Department and the Media and Government Communication Department, under the slogan:
“Young Minds Shaping the Future”
The conference aimed to highlight the most significant scientific research conducted by fourth-year students, showcasing distinctive topics that contribute to making a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector and in the field of advanced technologies across various disciplines.
In her address, the University President emphasized the importance of supporting student scientific research and the need to provide a conducive academic environment that fosters the development of students’ skills and enhances their scientific capabilities. She noted that investing in youth potential is a fundamental pillar in building the future and strengthening their role in serving society and advancing the healthcare sector.
For his part, the Dean highlighted the critical importance of encouraging and supporting students’ research abilities, stressing the need to strengthen research pathways within the Faculty and to motivate students to present innovative projects and ideas that contribute to the advancement of the academic and scientific landscape.
The conference sessions included the presentation and discussion of research projects by students from the Departments of Anesthesia Technologies and Radiology Technologies. A range of scientific projects and ideas addressing topics in health and medical technologies were showcased.
This conference reflects the Faculty’s commitment to fostering a robust research environment, promoting a culture of innovation and scientific thinking among students, and providing academic platforms that enable them to present and discuss their research outputs within a rigorous scientific framework.
