Under the auspices of University President Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and as part of the university's efforts to foster academic communication with international initiatives supporting development and innovation, the Science and Technology Parks Department organized a specialized workshop. Held in cooperation with the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and the Continuing Education Centre, the session was titled

"Modest and Sustainable Fashion: Iraqi Perspectives Toward Italian and European Markets"

The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Iraqi Federation of Industries and the initiatives of the Italian Investment Promotion Technical Office under the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It aimed to introduce professional and investment prospects within modern fashion, outlining the requirements and benchmarks for entering European markets, with an emphasis on innovation, design, and contemporary marketing.

The workshop explored several specialized themes, discussing the concept of modest attire as a promising industry with the potential for global expansion. Furthermore, attendees reviewed the primary challenges and opportunities associated with advancing this sector according to modern international standards, thereby supporting creative Iraqi talents and enhancing their presence in foreign markets.

This event aligns with ZUW’s strategic direction to champion scientific and specialized initiatives that contribute to building international knowledge partnerships. By configuring an academic ecosystem that keeps pace with global trends, the institution successfully expands development and innovation opportunities for both students and researchers.
