Al-Zahraa University for Women organised the closing ceremony of Ata' Al-A'lf (Thousand Dinar Initiative Giving Week) activities in collaboration with the Warith Charitable Fund, under the slogan: “From Al-Alf to Humanity: Childhood Triumphs and Smiles.” Additionally, the said event was under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President.
It bears noting that this initiative represents a continuation of a series of humanitarian and voluntary activities conducted throughout the week, aimed at consolidating the values of generosity and humanitarian engagement, as well as fostering a sense of social responsibility among female students. Furthermore, it seeks to transform student-led initiatives into tangible and effective contributions that address the needs of the most vulnerable groups, particularly children battling serious illnesses.
In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani emphasised that the University’s mission extends beyond academic and educational dimensions to encompass the development of a well-rounded and pioneering personality. She further noted that the “Al-Alf Giving Week” initiative stands as a vivid example of the integration of knowledge with humanitarian action, embodying the spirit of initiative and the active participation of female students.
Similarly, Dr. Ali Hamid Al-Sheikh Radi, the Deputy President of the Warith Foundation for Public Health, commended the fruitful collaboration that contributed to the success of this initiative. Besides, he praised the University’s role in supporting charitable work and promoting activities with a humanitarian dimension, affirming that such efforts play a vital role in preparing a generation that upholds and advances the values of giving within its social environment.
It is worth noting that “Al-Alf Giving Week” constitutes a significant humanitarian milestone in the University’s trajectory, reflecting its enduring commitment to the promotion of voluntary work through high-quality initiatives and purposeful activities. In addition, these endeavours embody the principles of generosity and human solidarity, contributing to the development of a more cohesive and mutually supportive society, and reinforcing the role of academic institutions in serving humanity and the broader community.
