On the occasion of the Arab Financial Inclusion Day, and under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and in cooperation with Al-Zahraa University, the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) organized a specialized awareness workshop aimed at promoting the concepts of financial inclusion and spreading banking culture among various segments of Iraqi society.

The workshop was delivered by Mr. Haider Al-Bahrani, Financial Inclusion Officer at the bank, where he reviewed the key pillars of financial inclusion and its importance in enabling individuals to access formal financial services easily and securely. He also highlighted the rapid developments in electronic banking services, particularly the use of bank cards and mechanisms for utilizing them in conducting daily transactions efficiently and reliably.

The workshop further addressed an important awareness aspect related to financial and electronic fraud risks. It outlined the most common methods used by fraudsters to target users, while providing practical guidelines to enhance individuals’ security awareness and help them protect their financial data and avoid falling victim to fraud attempts.

This workshop comes as part and parcel of Al-Zahraa University commitment to supporting awareness initiatives that promote financial literacy and banking security, as well as encouraging the safe use of modern financial technologies, in line with global developments in the banking sector and in support of economic development in Iraq.
