Al-Zahraa University received a delegation from the ministerial committee responsible for institutional compliance regulations, as part of the periodic field visits conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. These visits aim to monitor the level of institutional adherence within Iraqi universities, assess academic and administrative performance, and evaluate its alignment with approved regulations and standards.
The delegation was received by the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, along with members of the senior staff, the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, as well as several Faculty deans and heads of academic departments. During the meeting, key indicators related to the university’s performance and its developmental plans in the areas of quality assurance and academic accreditation were reviewed.
The visit included a comprehensive field program featuring inspection tours across Faculties, academic departments, and teaching laboratories. The committee examined the level of academic and technical preparedness, monitored the progress of the educational process, and visited examination committees to ensure the integrity of procedures and compliance with ministerial regulations.
The visit also covered an evaluation of infrastructure and facilities supporting the educational process, including classrooms and laboratories, as well as safety and security measures related to civil defense and on-campus protection systems. Additionally, attention was given to the university environment and the organization of green spaces, contributing to a safe and integrated educational setting.
This visit comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to reinforce institutional compliance standards within educational institutions, activate quality assurance systems, and elevate institutional performance in line with nationally approved standards, ultimately enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and strengthening the standing of academic institutions.
