The faculties at Al-Zahraa University for Women are continuously dedicated to organising scientific workshops to enhance the academic insights of female students. In this context, the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, Department of Radiology Techniques, organised a scientific workshop on cardiac enzymes and their role in diagnosing diseases, which was attended by the teaching staff and female students of the department.

Speaking to the official University website, Asst. Lect. Khamael Hasan Obaid stated: "Cardiac enzyme fluctuations and related disorders are common clinical indicators that frequently affect the elderly, smokers, and individuals suffering from morbid obesity."

Besides, she added: "The condition manifests as myocardial infarction due to fatty deposits, causing a narrowing that prevents adequate blood flow to the heart, which results in angina pectoris and other cardiovascular issues."

She further outlined the clinical signs used to diagnose the condition, including severe chest pain, shortness of breath, increased perspiration, sudden dizziness, and headaches. In addition, she pointed out the "necessity of seeking a clinical examination as soon as a person experiences these symptoms, alongside avoiding fat consumption, physical overexertion, and nervous or psychological stress to prevent the onset of the disease."

It is worth noting that the University encourages lecturers to conduct intensive, specialised workshops to expand the knowledge base of female students within their educational curricula.
